AT-7001 is a highly integrated single-chip RF transceiver IC designed for 2.4GHz ISM band applications, especially for IEEE802.11B/G. The IC includes all circuitry to implement the RF transceiver function. It has
fully integrated receive and transmit paths, VCOs and tanks, dual band frequency synthesis, and
baseband/control interface. The function blocks in the transceiver include LNA, RF down conversion mixer,
IF Power Detector, IF AGC, IQ demodulator, IF receive chain DC offset cancellation loop, base band signal
Low Pass Filter, output buffer, Receiving Signal Strength Index (RSSI), Band-gap voltage reference, 3-wire
input programmable frequency synthesizers, dual-band VCOs (2.0GHz and 750MHz), LO buffer and divider,
Quadrature modulator, TX AGC, up-converter, and PA driver (Pre-Amplifier).
To have high RF performance, super heterodyne structure is used. Therefore, a 374MHz SAW filter is needed
in applications to 802.11B/G. The device is suitable for the full range of 802.11G OFDM data rates and (6, 9,
12, 18, 24, 36, 48 and 54 Mbps) and 802.11B DBPSK, DQPSK, CCK data rates (1, 2, 5.5, 11 Mbps) at
corresponding sensitivity levels.
The transceiver is manufactured in CMOS technology and hosted in QFN56 package.
